Clayton County

          Clayton County is a wonderfully vibrant and culturally rich community that has numerous  amenities to offer both its residents and visitors. As the home of Gone with the Wind, visitors can transport themselves back to a time when the smell of the sweet magnolias lingered in the air and a cool glass of lemonade was a welcomed sight.  The county’s cities include Jonesboro, Morrow, Lake City, Ellenwood, Forest Park, Hampton, and Conley. With its close proximity to Hartsfield International Airport, numerous major interstates, and to downtown Atlanta, this county is certainly an inviting and convenient place to work, to relax, and to live. There are approximately 30 elementary schools, 12 middle schools, and 9 high schools. Clayton County also has numerous private schools located throughout the county. At Clayton State University, which is located in Morrow, there are also numerous bachelor and master degree opportunities available. There are numerous new and resale homes available in a variety of styles and at great prices.  

 

Henry County

          Henry County is approximately 350 square miles and its cities include McDonough, Stockbridge, Locust Grove, and Hampton. Henry County is the second fastest growing county in the metro area. This county hasn’t lost any of it southern charm with its Victorian homes and 19th century buildings. However, there are obviously plenty of new and resale homes that are priced for any budget. The county has approximately 17 elementary schools, 5 middle schools, and 7 high schools. There are also numerous private schools located throughout the county. There are also advanced educational opportunities available as Georgia State University, Clayton State University, and Mercer University each have satellite campuses located within the county.   

Fayette County

          Fayette County is approximately 199 square miles and its cities include Fayetteville, Peachtree City, Tyrone, Brooks, and Woolsey. There are approximately 100,000 citizens who call Fayette County home. While the county has experienced rapid growth over the last several decades, it still maintains its pastoral and culturally rich heritage. The area offers numerous amenities including six golf courses, a championship tennis center, an indoor aquatic center, extensive youth athletic programs, two amphitheaters, as well as numerous annual festivals and community events. There are approximately 13 elementary schools, 6 middle schools, and 6 high schools. There are also numerous private schools throughout the county. Advanced educational degree programs are available as Clayton State University has a satellite campus offering a wide variety of courses of study.
